Privacy policy

Effective September 7, 2026

Mellow Moose (“we,” “us,” “our”) operates mellowmoose.shop. This notice explains what personal information we collect, how we use it, who we share it with, and the choices you have. Our store runs on Shopify, so Shopify’s own privacy practices also apply to the data it processes on our behalf.

What we collect

• Order and contact details — name, email, phone, shipping and billing address, and what you purchased.
• Payment information — processed by Shopify Payments and its supported wallets (such as Shop Pay and Google Pay). We never see or store your full card number.
• Account information — if you create an account, your login details and order history.
• Age confirmation — your confirmation that you are 21 or older when you enter the site. We do not store your date of birth.
• Marketing preferences — your email or SMS sign-up and any consent you give us.
• Reviews and messages — reviews you submit, contact-form messages, and emails or calls to our support team.
• Device and usage data — IP address, browser type, pages viewed and referring site, collected through cookies and similar technologies.

How we use it

• To process, ship and support your orders, and to send order confirmations and shipping updates.
• To answer your questions and resolve issues.
• To send marketing emails or texts only if you opt in. You can unsubscribe at any time using the link in any email or by replying STOP to a text.
• To invite you to review a product you bought.
• To detect fraud, keep the site secure, and comply with the law, including age requirements for hemp products.
• To understand how the site is used so we can improve it.

Who we share it with

We do not sell your personal information. We share it only with service providers who need it to run our store:

• Shopify — our ecommerce platform and payment processor.
• Shipping carriers such as UPS and USPS — your name, address and phone number so they can deliver your order.
• Print-on-demand partner — for apparel and sticker orders, your name and address are shared with the partner that prints and ships those items.
• Klaviyo — sends our marketing emails and texts and powers our sign-up forms.
• Judge.me — collects and displays product reviews.
• Analytics and advertising partners — Shopify’s built-in analytics and the Mantis ad network measure site traffic and the performance of our ads.
• Legal requests — when required by law or to protect our rights, our customers or our business.

Cookies

We use cookies to keep your cart, remember your age confirmation and preferences, and measure traffic and advertising. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings; some parts of the store may not work without them.

Your choices and rights

• Marketing — unsubscribe from any email, reply STOP to any text, or email us.
• Access, correction or deletion — email hello@mellowmoose.shop and we will respond within 45 days. Residents of Oregon, California and other states with privacy laws may also have the right to opt out of targeted advertising and to appeal a decision. We will not treat you differently for exercising these rights.
• Do Not Track — our site does not currently respond to browser Do Not Track signals.

Retention and security

We keep order records for as long as needed to fulfill orders, handle any issues, and meet tax and legal requirements. We use Shopify’s PCI-compliant checkout and reasonable safeguards to protect your information, but no system is completely secure.

Age requirement

Our products and website are intended for adults 21 and older. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 21, and we will delete it if we learn we have.

Changes to this notice

We may update this notice from time to time. The effective date at the top will change when we do.
