CBDV: The Rare Cannabinoid Powering Recover Full Spectrum+

CBDV: The Rare Cannabinoid Powering Recover Full Spectrum+

What is CBDV?

CBDV (Cannabidivarin) is a rare, non‑intoxicating cannabinoid naturally present in select hemp varieties—especially CBDV‑dominant strains intentionally bred for higher “varin” content. CBDV is closely related to CBD but belongs to the varin family of cannabinoids (it has a shorter side chain), which can give it distinct properties in a complete hemp extract.

Why CBDV is special

  • Rarity: Plants produce CBDV in much smaller amounts than CBD, so it takes thoughtful genetics and careful processing to capture meaningful levels.

  • Growing research interest: CBDV is being studied for roles in neurological pathways, including seizure‑related research. (Note: in the U.S., the only FDA‑approved cannabis‑derived medicine for certain seizure disorders contains CBD, not CBDV. Our products are not intended to diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any disease.)

  • Synergy in blends: CBDV tends to shine when blended with a full cannabinoid spectrum, complementing CBD, CBG, minor cannabinoids, and trace legal THC in a full‑spectrum base.

Our story: why we built Recover Full Spectrum+

Recover began at home. We developed the blend in‑house to support family members moving through cancer care (chemo/radiation)—with the goal of helping them keep daily routines, eat, rest, and feel as comfortable as possible. From there, we realized Recover’s broad, potent profile fits many people who want a complete, high‑strength hemp extract for demanding days and deeper routines.

We’re a small Oregon family farm. We grow organically and refine using a water‑only process for our isolates—no harsh solvents.

What “Full Spectrum+” means (our formula logic)

Full Spectrum+ = a full‑spectrum foundation (from CBD‑dominant and CBDV‑dominant strains) plus carefully selected isolates to hit purposeful ratios.

  • Foundation: full‑spectrum extract with naturally occurring cannabinoids and terpenes.

  • Dual‑strain approach: we combine CBD‑dominant and CBDV‑dominant genetics to raise the CBDV baseline.

  • Isolate boosts: we add clean isolates (e.g., CBD, CBG, and minors) to fine‑tune the profile.

  • Result: a broader spectrum than single‑strain full spectrum can deliver.

How Recover is used (everyday and beyond)

People choose Recover when they want:

  • A potent, complete hemp extract in one bottle

  • Support for long, physically demanding days and post‑activity recovery

  • A blend designed for consistency and depth, not just a single cannabinoid

(Not medical advice; products are not intended to diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent disease.)

Potency & getting started

  • Bottle: Recover 6000 mg / 120 mL

  • Approximate potency: ≈ 50 mg/mL (about 1 mL ≈ 50 mg)

  • Suggested start: 1.0 mL in the evening (≈ 50 mg), then adjust in ¼‑dropper steps.

  • Need a weight‑based starting range? Use our calculator: mellowmoose.shop/dosage-calculator

  • Label tip: CBDV and other cannabinoid amounts vary slightly (+/- 10%) by batch—check the COA for your bottle’s exact profile.

Where CBDV fits alongside CBD, CBG, and CBN

  • CBDV + CBD: robust baseline for daily function

  • CBDV + CBG: popular in active or recovery routines

  • CBDV + CBD + CBN: evening routine in a single profile when used with a full‑spectrum foundation

(Recover Full Spectrum+ already layers these intelligently; see your batch COA.)

Research note on seizures

CBDV is under active study for seizure‑related conditions and neurological pathways. While the science is promising, only CBD (not CBDV) has an FDA‑approved prescription product for certain seizure disorders. If you are exploring cannabinoids alongside medical care, always work with your clinician and bring your product label + COA to that conversation.

Drug‑testing considerations

Recover is full spectrum+ and contains trace legal THC.
If a drug test is a concern, choose our isolate‑based formulas (Calm (CBD), Focus (CBG), Sleep (CBN), Balance (CBD+CBG)) and avoid Recover or other full‑spectrum products. No brand can guarantee test outcomes—some tests may misidentify CBD products as THC. Be upfront with your tester, disclose your use of federally legal THC‑free products when applicable, and show COAs for your batch.

Quick checklist before you buy

  • Extract type is right for you (Isolate / Broad / Full / Full Spectrum+)

  • Total mg & mg/mL make sense for your plan

  • Batch # + COA show the CBDV you’re looking for

  • USDA Organic annotations where applicable

  • Clear ingredients and straightforward labeling
